EU Vows Support for Lebanon at Upcoming International Conference in Paris

Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, expressed optimism that the conference, scheduled to take place in Paris, will be a crucial opportunity to gather essential assistance for the Lebanese people and reinforce the country's sovereignty. According to Kuwait News Agency, Borrell announced his intentions in a press release, stating that he would deliver a message outlining the EU's strategic steps to support Lebanon. The EU's involvement is seen as a critical element in addressing the various challenges Lebanon faces, exacerbated by recent military operations. Borrell highlighted the dire consequences of the ongoing military activities in Lebanon, which have resulted in extensive civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
