Beirut: Finance Minister Yassine Jaber recently held a meeting with MP Hussein Hajj Hassan and Bassam Tleis, an official from the Amal Movement overseeing municipal affairs, to address the development and service needs in municipalities impacted by Israeli attacks.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion focused on evaluating the current state of municipal financial allocations and exploring strategies to secure necessary funding for rehabilitation and essential service provision. Minister Jaber emphasized the Finance Ministry's commitment to releasing funds through proper legal channels and underscored the importance of reestablishing the state's presence in these regions. He highlighted the need for increased coordination among various ministries, especially with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, to expedite reconstruction and infrastructure projects.
