First Batch of Saudi Humanitarian Air Bridge Arrives in Beirut with Vital Aid


BEIRUT: The inaugural flight of the Saudi humanitarian air bridge landed in Beirut, marking a significant step in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to provide aid to Lebanon. The plane, loaded with essential medical and relief supplies, was received by notable Lebanese government and relief officials.

According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the aircraft was greeted at the airport by a delegation that included the caretaker Minister of Economy, Amin Salam, Minister of Environment, Nasser Yassin, and the Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Committee, Major General Mohammed Khair. The presence of these officials underscored the importance of this aid to Lebanon’s ongoing humanitarian needs.

The Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Al-Bukhari, who accompanied the flight, highlighted the commitment of the Kingdom to support Lebanon during its current crises. The supplies brought by this flight are expected to alleviate some of the pressing medical and basic needs of the Lebanese population.

This
initiative is part of a broader Saudi humanitarian effort expected to include more flights and aid deliveries, demonstrating a continued partnership between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon in addressing humanitarian challenges.
