Gaza: Israeli occupation forces killed five Palestinians on Friday in separate incidents across the southern Gaza Strip, including three people who were waiting for desperately needed humanitarian aid, according to local sources.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, in Rafah, three civilians were shot and killed by Israeli forces near a GHF aid distribution center in the al-Shakoush area, north of the city. Over 30 others were injured in the same incident, many suffering gunshot wounds as they gathered in need of food and basic supplies.
Meanwhile, in Khan Younis, one Palestinian was killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of al-Qarara, located in the northern part of the city.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 60,239 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 146,894 others injured. Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
