Foreign Minister Raggi Engages in Diplomatic Discussions in Brussels

Brussels: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Tuesday continued his meetings in Brussels on the sidelines of the 5th EU-Southern Neighbourhood Ministerial Meeting.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Raggi met with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Pr©vost. The discussions focused on bilateral relations between Belgium and Lebanon. During the meeting, Raggi emphasized the necessity of applying pressure on Israel to ensure a complete withdrawal from Lebanese territories and stressed the significance of Belgium's support for the renewal of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mandate.

The meeting also touched upon the ongoing issue of displaced Syrians, highlighting Belgium's role alongside the European Union in facilitating their return to Syria.

In a separate discussion, Minister Raggi met with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan. Their talks centered on the latest regional developments, reflecting the importance of continued diplomatic engagement in maintaining stability and cooperation in the region.
