Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji Engages in Diplomatic Discussions with British and Turkish Counterparts

Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Rajji, on Tuesday engaged in diplomatic discussions through phone calls with his British and Turkish counterparts, focusing on regional developments and security cooperation. During a conversation with British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer, they discussed the latest developments in the south, emphasizing the need for international intervention.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Rajji emphasized the importance of international pressure on Israel to withdraw completely, immediately, and unconditionally from the Lebanese territories it occupies. The discussions also touched upon the Syrian displacement issue, where Rajji highlighted the potential role of the United Kingdom in facilitating the return of displaced persons to Syria.

In another conversation, Minister Rajji spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan about the situation in Lebanon and the wider region. They reviewed the responsibilities of the five-member security committee formed during the Amman meeting. This committee will focus on establishing coordination mechanisms for addressing terrorism, drug and arms smuggling, and cross-border organized crime.
