MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman's Foreign Minister, hosted Andrii Sybihaý, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, marking his inaugural visit to Muscat. The discussions focused on the Ukraine-Russia conflict and regional tensions in Gaza and Lebanon, while also exploring avenues for bilateral cooperation. According to Oman News Agency, the meeting involved comprehensive political consultations concerning the Ukraine-Russia crisis. Both ministers emphasized the necessity of achieving a just and comprehensive peace in line with international law, aiming to alleviate the suffering caused by the conflict. Furthermore, the dialogue included addressing the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, with both parties advocating for an immediate ceasefire and a return to peace negotiations. The ministers stressed the significance of respecting international law and called for lifting the siege on Gaza and the release of all hostages. In addition to these pressing issues, the discussions al so covered potential areas of collaboration between Oman and Ukraine, including the economy, culture, science and technology transfer, transport, logistics, and renewable energy sectors.
