Frem Announces Electoral Alliance with Lebanese Forces for Jounieh Municipal Elections

Maarab: Lebanese Forces party leader Samir Geagea met today in Maarab with MP Neemat Frem, head of the "Project Watan," to discuss an alliance for the upcoming municipal elections. Frem revealed that their meeting was "distinctive," and announced a strategic partnership with the Lebanese Forces to run in Jounieh.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Frem expressed his honor in meeting with Geagea and shared positive news for the residents of Keserwan. He confirmed the finalization of the electoral alliance, stating that they will jointly participate in the elections, starting from Jounieh and extending throughout Keserwan.

Frem further explained that this municipal electoral agreement signifies a collaborative effort between four allies: the Lebanese Forces, the Kataeb Party, Sheikh Mansour Al-Bonn, and his own group. He expressed optimism that this alliance will ensure Jounieh is represented by its residents, while also focusing on economic development and progress.

In response to queries about the parliamentary elections, Frem mentioned ongoing efforts with fellow MPs to draft a law. This proposed legislation aims to allow Lebanese citizens to directly elect both the Parliament Council and the Senate, with amendments for expatriate voting and adjustments for the Senate's election according to Orthodox law, based on sectarian affiliation.
