Gaza: Transport and Communications announces a campaign to facilitate licenses for all types of vehicles

The Ministry of Transport and Communications in Gaza announced today, Wednesday, the details of a facilitation campaign for vehicle licenses of all types and driver’s licenses, which will start from next Sunday, 10/1/2023, until 12/31/2023.

Ministry spokesman Anis Arafat said during a press conference that the campaign includes a 50 percent reduction in vehicle license fees of all types, and this applies to debts accumulated by citizens, as well as a 50 percent reduction in driver’s licenses and the possibility of renewal for a maximum period of ten years.

Arafat stated that the campaign came as a result of the Ministry’s awareness of the importance of helping drivers settle their legal matters, its positive impact on the traffic situation in Gaza, and its role in reducing traffic barriers.

He explained that the Ministry of Transport and Communications seeks, in cooperation with its local partners, to make decisions that contribute to enhancing traffic security. Protecting the lives of our people is a d
uty and a trust, and it is the duty of all of us, government, society, and institutions, to cooperate, join hands, and collaborate in order to achieve this goal.

Anis Arafat pointed out that the Ministry of Transport and Communications has sought over the years to enhance traffic safety on the road, raise the level of traffic awareness among drivers, and encourage them to adhere to traffic laws, through numerous projects and campaigns launched by the Ministry in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and National Security, represented by the General Administration of Traffic Police.
