GCC Seeks to Bolster Collaboration with the World Bank Group

RIYADH: The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Albudaiwi, has expressed a strong commitment to enhancing the organization's relationship with the World Bank Group. This move aims to align with the shared objectives of the council's member countries. According to Kuwait News Agency, Albudaiwi made this assertion during a meeting with Abdulaziz Al Mulla and Suhail Saeed, both Executive Directors at the World Bank Group, on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings. The discussions focused on improving collaboration in economic matters, developing strategies for innovation and entrepreneurship, and maintaining ongoing coordination for exchanging expertise and knowledge in the financial and economic sectors. The meeting also delved into leveraging the World Bank Group's international expertise to achieve the economic development goals of GCC countries.
