Damascus: Lebanese Forces party leader, Samir Geagea, on Tuesday met in Maarab with the Superior General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Abbot Hadi Mahfouz, accompanied by Father Georges Hobeika, the Order's Vicar General, and Father Tony Fakhry, a council member: Discussions centered on current developments and the importance of advancing recovery efforts and overcoming accumulated crises, particularly following the election of a new president and the formation of a new government.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting underscored the necessity of collaborative efforts between political and religious leaders to address the multifaceted challenges facing Lebanon. The dialogue emphasized the roles that various sectors can play in the national recovery process, highlighting the urgency of implementing effective strategies to restore stability.
The discussions also focused on the potential impact of the newly formed government on national recovery initiatives. Both parties noted the critical need for transparent governance and efficient policy execution to rebuild public trust and promote economic and social well-being.
