Beirut: The head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea, has declared that "God has afflicted us" in recent times with the presence of parties classified as terrorist or corrupt. This statement was made following his meeting with the ministers he appointed.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Geagea emphasized that the primary responsibility of the government is to return decision-making power to the state. He highlighted the importance of military control over Lebanon's northern and eastern borders, dismissing claims about the army's insufficient numbers as inaccurate.
Geagea described the current Lebanese government as a government of hope, asserting that it is the first real government in a long time. He stated that its main mission is to guide the country towards stability, advocating for a fresh start without preconceptions or negative biases. He emphasized the importance of state-led efforts if conflicts arise.
In addressing reconstruction needs, Geagea called for intensive work across various sectors, particularly mentioning the Ministry of Technology. He encouraged leveraging natural intelligence alongside artificial intelligence for progress. Furthermore, he noted the necessity of a Ministry for the Displaced, focusing on reconstruction from the south to the Bekaa region.
