Beirut: Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, met with a delegation from the "National Moderation" Bloc and the "Independent Parliamentary Gathering," which included MPs Ahmad Kheir, Bilal Hashimi, and Mohammad Suleiman. The meeting was also attended by MPs Fadi Karam, Ziad Hawat, and George Okais from the "Strong Republic Bloc."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting lasted over an hour, during which the participants agreed on supporting the government's sovereign decisions. They emphasized the importance of the Lebanese security forces and army in maintaining order and preventing clashes and tensions.
The National Moderation Bloc and the Independent Parliamentary Gathering presented a proposed draft general amnesty law. The Lebanese Forces promised to study it after reviewing its details. The statement concluded with an affirmation that any recovery path requires activating constitutional institutions and launching serious reforms based on transparency and accountability, away from narrow calculations, to meet the aspirations of the Lebanese people.
