Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, announced Thursday, July 25, an official paid holiday, on occasion of July Revolution anniversary. The holiday announced for employees in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units and the public and private sectors. The official holiday came as part of celebrations marking the July 23 Revolution. The Revolution Day in Egypt refers to the public holiday on 23 July, the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 which led to the declaration of the modern republic of Egypt, ending the period of the Kingdom of Egypt.
