Govt denies rumors on getting Ummrah trips’ fees in dollars

The Cabinet's media center denied rumors on issuing a decision to get fees of Ummrah programs and trips in dollars. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that the news is groundless, the media center said in a statement on Saturday 28/9/2024. The regulations and measures regulating Ummrah trips obliged travel agencies to get the fees in Egyptian pounds, the statement said. The ministry warned the citizens from dealing with any illegal entities and reserve Ummrah trips via licensed travel agencies, it added.
