Haidar Engages in Talks with ILO Regional Director and Kadisha Retirees


Beirut: Minister of Labor Dr. Mohammed Haidar met with Dr. Ruba Jaradat, the ILO Regional Director for Arab States, leading a delegation, at his office on Wednesday. The discussions centered on assessing the repercussions of the Israeli war on workers and the overall labor market of the country. Additionally, they explored conducting a comprehensive study to evaluate the war’s impact on various institutions and the labor market as a whole.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting also included conversations about the Child Labor Prevention Committee. The discussions aimed to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the International Labour Organization to develop recommendations addressing these issues.



In a separate meeting, Minister Haidar welcomed MP Ahmed Rustom and a delegation of retirees from the Kadisha Electricity Company. The discussions during this meeting were not detailed in the report.
