Beirut: MP Hussein Hajj Hassan criticized proposals made by some Lebanese calling for peace with Israel, describing them as "hasty and reckless" amid ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon. During a rally held by the "Resistance Support Culture Movement," Hajj Hassan criticized the Lebanese authorities regarding the ceasefire and the recent joint statement, questioning the usefulness of agreements while occupation and attacks continue, and while withdrawal, the return of displaced people, and prisoners' issues remain unresolved.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajj Hassan also criticized President Joseph Aoun over remarks about peace with Israel, arguing that such an approach does not reflect a Lebanese consensus and calling for consideration of all national positions. Hajj Hassan reaffirmed his rejection of normalization with Israel, stressed commitment to the "resistance" option, and praised the positions of Speaker Nabih Berri, former minister Walid Jumblatt, and Minister Gebran Bassil regarding the proposed agreement.
