Beirut: Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar, speaking at the launch of the 'Engaging Local Authorities in Child-Sensitive Governance' initiative in partnership with UNICEF, emphasized the need for national unity in response to ongoing Israeli assaults on Lebanon. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of numerous children and have left many others orphaned, prompting a call for stronger cohesion and backing of government decisions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar urged the public to rally around the Lebanese Army and security forces, offering them complete confidence and support. This, he argued, is essential to extend state authority across Lebanese territory, enforce the rule of law, and eliminate the enemy's pretexts for continued aggression.
Hajjar further emphasized that Lebanon's security and protection rely on the unity of its people and the strength of its army, asserting that the state's institutions are the country's sole refuge.
