Gaza: Hamas has condemned recent video clips released by the Israeli army, depicting the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, as an ineffectual effort to restore its image. The videos, according to Hamas, are part of a broader attempt by Israel to assert control over the narrative surrounding Sinwar's death during a confrontation with Israeli forces. According to Maan News Agency, Hamas issued a statement on its Telegram channel dismissing the Israeli army's portrayal of events as a "miserable and ridiculous attempt" to cover up what it described as a failure within Israel's security and military systems. The statement criticized the Israeli army spokesperson for allegedly presenting false information regarding Sinwar's death, which occurred during a battle in the Tel al-Sultan area of Rafah, Gaza. Hamas emphasized the bravery of Yahya Sinwar, describing him as a leader who died in combat after orchestrating what they termed as the greatest battle in Palestinian history, the Flood of Al-Aqsa. The statement highl ighted Sinwar's role in leading resistance efforts across the Gaza Strip, portraying him as a symbol of resilience and resistance on a global scale. The organization further praised Sinwar's dedication to the Palestinian cause, stating that he fulfilled his life mission of jihad and struggle, culminating in his martyrdom.
