Beirut: Iraqi Airways will resume flights to and from Beirut starting November 27, 2024, following approval from Lebanon's Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, announced the decision on his X platform account. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hamieh stated, "Approval has been granted for Iraqi Airways to resume operations to and from Beirut, effective November 27, 2024. The first flight is scheduled to arrive from Baghdad tomorrow morning," referencing a formal request from the airline. The resumption marks the renewal of a key air route that benefits both nations, enhancing connectivity and economic ties.
