HE Minister discusses increasing number of accredited Jordanian universities in Qatar

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Azmi Mahafza on Tuesday met with a delegation from the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The meeting covered increasing the number of accredited Jordanian universities by Qatar in which Qatari students are allowed to study.

The meeting also discussed the signing of the sixth executive program for cooperation in education and higher education for the cultural agreement between Jordan and Qatar, enhancing cooperation in higher education and scientific research and exchanging visits between faculty members and researchers in Jordanian and Qatari universities.

The Qatari delegation included Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs, Dr. Khaled Abdullah Al-Ali, Director of the Higher Education Institutions Affairs Department, Dr. Abdullah Hamad Fteis, and Qatari Cultural Attaché in Jordan, Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud Al-Sharif.

The meeting was also attended by the Ministry’s Secretary General Mamoun Al-Debei, Director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit (UACU), Muhannad Al-Khatib, and Director of the International Student Affairs Unit, Renad Nofal.
