Beirut: A Hezbollah commander was killed and another person injured yesterday, in a Zionist Israeli drone strike on southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese and Israeli sources.
According to Nam News Network, Lebanon's official reports indicated that the strike, taking place about half an hour past noon, targeted a car near an elementary school on the Harouf-Jibchit road in the Nabatieh area. The drone attack has sparked concerns over escalating tensions in the region, with communities in the area expressing fear over the potential for further conflicts.
The Public Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Centre confirmed that the attack resulted in one fatality and one injury. A source from the Lebanese army intelligence identified the deceased as Zein Futouni, a commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, hailing from the town of Hallousiyeh. The incident underscores the ongoing volatility in the region, where Hezbollah and Israeli forces have frequently been at odds.
