Hezbollah Leader Urges Government to Reconsider Stance on Resistance

Beirut: Hezbollah Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has called on the Lebanese government to reverse its decision to criminalize resistance. During a speech commemorating "Liberation and Resistance Day," Qassem highlighted the role of unity among the resistance, the Lebanese army, and the Lebanese people in achieving the victory of liberation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Israel has a broader agenda aimed at dismantling the resistance and incrementally occupying Lebanon. He expressed his belief that the recent U.S. sanctions would only fortify the resistance's resolve.

Qassem criticized the Lebanese government for not opposing the sanctions and urged the state to abandon direct negotiations. He advocated for a return to national understanding and consensus as the path forward.
