Baghdad Member of Parliament Hisham Al-Suhail confirmed that: The current period will witness a media and military escalation in the region that foreshadows new events.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that: There is a new recipe awaiting our region when the events of the Americans’ withdrawal from Afghanistan and handed it over to Taliban are linked.
Al-Suhail added that: the military and media escalation in the region indicates that the new scenario, which he did not clarify, has begun to be implemented.
The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, accused Iran of being responsible for the incident that struck an Israeli ship, stressing that the response would be collective.
Israel had accused Iran of carrying out an attack off the coast of Oman on a tanker operated by an Israeli company last Friday.
