BEIRUT: U.S. Special Envoy Amos Hochstein, after a meeting with House Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh, described the discussions as yielding "positive progress." Hochstein's remarks came after a brief engagement with the media on Wednesday, where he emphasized the constructive nature of the talks. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hochstein refrained from disclosing specific details of the meeting, acknowledging that this may lead to disappointment for some. However, he highlighted that there had been additional progress. Hochstein also mentioned his imminent visit to Tel Aviv, indicating plans to travel to Israel within two hours with the aim of advancing towards a resolution. He underscored the importance of moving forward step by step while collaborating with both administrations. Hochstein noted the significance of achieving a resolution but maintained that negotiations would not be conducted publicly, suggesting a discreet approach to the ongoing discussions and diplomatic efforts.
