Beirut: Hong Kong suffered flight delays, commuter chaos and service closures on Tuesday as violent storms prompted the city to issue its highest rain warning for a record-breaking fourth time in one week. Parts of Hong Kong including the central business district received as much as 400 millimetres (15.7 inches) of rain from midnight to 2.15pm, according to the Hong Kong Observatory. The black rain warning was issued during the early morning and will remain in effect until at least 5pm.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the heavy rain and gusty winds have led to growing disruptions at the Hong Kong International Airport. At least 361 passenger and cargo flights were delayed, with 11 services cancelled as of 2.35pm, according to Flightradar24.
