The Independent Election Commission (IEC) Monday launched its fifth field awareness campaign ahead of the September 10 parliamentary elections. The campaign, carried out by members of the "I Participate" program in cooperation with higher education institutions, includes local markets, official departments, municipalities, residential areas and restaurants and cafes in the cities of Salt and Fuheis. It will cover the Kingdom's governorates in the next two weeks. The campaign to raise awareness of the election and party laws and voting procedures includes the distribution of brochures about the electoral system, general and local lists and the allocation of seats and women's quota.
