Interior Minister Reviews Regional Situation with Governors

Damascus: Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, on Tuesday met with Lebanon's governors to review conditions across the country's governorates and monitor regional affairs. Hajjar was briefed on the situation of residents who have returned to areas in the south and Beirut's southern suburbs, as well as displaced people still housed in shelters. He instructed governors to coordinate with the Prime Minister's Disaster Management Unit and relevant agencies to address their needs. The meeting also reviewed the completion of tent removals across Beirut, with Hajjar calling for continued field monitoring, stronger coordination with security agencies, and a rapid response to citizens' needs.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the discussions emphasized the importance of addressing the immediate requirements of citizens affected by recent displacements. Hajjar highlighted the necessity for swift action and comprehensive strategies to ensure the welfare and security of all residents. The Interior Minister also stressed the need for effective collaboration between different governmental bodies to enhance the efficiency of the aid and rehabilitation processes.
