Beirut: The Ministry of Interior has released the latest figures on voter turnout for the ongoing municipal and mukhtar elections in the regions of North Lebanon and Akkar. These statistics provide insight into the level of voter engagement in various districts within these areas.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the voter turnout in Akkar reached 21.47%, while Tripoli recorded a lower turnout rate of 7.90%. In Zgharta, 17.63% of eligible voters participated in the elections, whereas Bsharri saw a turnout of 15.39%. Minieh-Dennieh reported a turnout of 20.89%, and Koura had a participation rate of 18.42%. The highest turnout among these districts was recorded in Batroun, where 24.73% of voters cast their ballots.
These figures highlight the varying levels of voter participation across different districts, which may influence the outcomes of the municipal and mukhtar elections in these regions.
