Islamabad: A high-powered delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, arrived in Islamabad today to engage in the Islamabad Talks. The Pakistan foreign office made this announcement as the delegation was welcomed by key Pakistani officials.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Iranian delegation was received at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The talks aim to facilitate a constructive engagement between the U.S. and Iran.
DPM/FM Ishaq Dar expressed optimism about the constructive engagement of the parties involved and reiterated Pakistan's commitment to facilitating a lasting and durable solution to the conflict. The Islamabad Talks are seen as a crucial step towards resolving ongoing tensions and fostering peace in the region.
