Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has talked by phone with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, during which the two "exchanged views on the evolving regional situation", according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dar emphasized the importance of de-escalation and restraint, urging parties to adhere to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established in June 2026. He reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy are the only sustainable solutions for resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Both Dar and Araghchi agreed to maintain close contact in the future, as highlighted in the statement.
