Beirut: Hamid Pour, executive director of the National Iranian Oil Company, rejected claims by US President Donald Trump on social media that Iran's Kharg Island oil facilities had been destroyed, saying oil operations on the island had not stopped, according to Fars News Agency. Pour dismissed Trump's posts and videos purporting to show the destruction of the oil hub, saying conditions on Kharg Island remained "calm and stable" and that oil operations had not ceased "for a single moment."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, He said the area had previously been subjected to strikes by what he described as the "US-Israeli enemy," but that oil-sector workers and operational teams had maintained uninterrupted production. Pour added that a large number of contractors were currently working to rebuild and modernize oil storage tanks on the island.
He said rehabilitation work on docks and storage facilities was proceeding alongside previously planned projects without interruption. According to Pour, some of these projects have reached completion rates ranging between 20 and 30 percent, with work continuing.
