Beirut: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that it carried out the 53rd wave of Operation True Promise 4, launching a coordinated missile and drone attack targeting US forces and Israeli-linked command infrastructure across the region. In a statement released Sunday, the IRGC said the wave was dedicated to the memory of 84 crew members of the Iranian Navy vessel Dena who were martyred when the ship was torpedoed by a US submarine near Sri Lanka earlier this month.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the operation involved a combined strike using 10 hypersonic missiles of the Fattah and Qadr types, alongside suicide drones. The IRGC stated that the main target of the attack was Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, a site used by US forces to provide intelligence and logistical support for military operations against Iran. The statement also indicated that the strikes targeted regional command-and-control centers and facilities responsible for managing the internal front of the Israeli entity.
"The continuous and powerful attacks against American targets, centers, and interests, as well as those of the Zionist entity, will continue with greater force and on a wider scale until the aggressor surrenders and is punished," the IRGC said.
The announcement came shortly after the 52nd wave of the same operation, which the IRGC claimed targeted both Israeli-occupied territories and multiple US military installations across the Middle East. According to the statement, Iranian forces struck Al-Harir base in Iraq's Kurdistan region, which hosts US troops, as well as Ali Al-Salem and Arifjan bases in Kuwait, destroying gathering points for American forces at those facilities.
Earlier phases of the operation also included strikes on several US military installations across the region, including Al Dhafra Air Base, Fujairah facilities, the Fifth Fleet's headquarters in Bahrain, and bases in Jordan and Kuwait, reflecting a coordinated campaign against American military infrastructure supporting operations against the Islamic Republic.
Iranian officials have stated that the ongoing waves of Operation True Promise 4 are part of a broader retaliatory campaign following US-Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, with Tehran warning that attacks will continue until the aggressors are deterred and punished. The statement also contained a direct warning toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "If the criminal and child-killer Netanyahu is still alive, we will continue pursuing him until he receives his punishment," it said, signaling that the operations will continue until full deterrent objectives are achieved.
