Islamic Jihad Leader Accuses Israel of Attempting to Displace Palestinians from Gaza

GAZA CITY: Mohammed al-Hindi, the deputy secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad Movement, has accused Israel of attempting to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, framing the ongoing conflict as a decisive battle that will determine the future of the region. According to Maan News Agency, al-Hindi stated that the current conflict is being mischaracterized as solely a Palestinian struggle, while asserting that Israel aims to expand its presence in the area. He emphasized that the outcome of this battle is critical for the region's fate. Al-Hindi described Israel as an entity imposed on the region to dominate it, and criticized international actors, particularly Washington, for their involvement. He accused the United States of supporting Israel by providing financial and military aid. Al-Hindi also pointed to recent statements by Israeli officials, specifically mentioning Ben Gvir, whom he claims is calling for the displacement of Gaza residents and the re-establishment of settlements. He expressed tha t the Islamic Jihad Movement does not seek external intervention in response to what he described as the occupation's actions in Gaza.
