GAZA CITY: Israeli airstrikes continued to pummel the Gaza Strip for the 385th consecutive day, causing significant casualties and destruction in multiple areas. The latest assaults have resulted in the deaths of 55 individuals and left 132 others wounded, according to reports from local hospitals. This escalation adds to the mounting death toll, which has reached 42,847 since hostilities began on October 7 of the previous year. According to Maan News Agency, the southern Gaza Strip witnessed a surprise incursion by Israeli forces in the areas of Qizan Al-Najjar and Al-Manara, south of Khan Yunis. This operation was marked by intense shelling that claimed the lives of at least 24 citizens. Notably, 14 members of the Al-Far family and five from the Abdeen family were among those rescued amid the chaos. Tragically, two women and a relative were killed, and seven others were wounded during a bombing of a displacement tent southwest of Khan Yunis. Additionally, Al-Farouq Mosque in Qizan Al-Najjar was targeted fo r the second time, and residential blocks in several neighborhoods were demolished. In the northern Gaza Strip, the ground operation has persisted for 21 days, with tanks besieging Kamal Adwan Hospital amidst ongoing artillery shelling and gunfire. Medical sources confirmed patient fatalities due to oxygen shortages in the hospital. On Al-Houja Street in Jabalia camp, 13 houses were bombed simultaneously, resulting in numerous casualties. The Israeli forces have also compelled citizens to evacuate Jabalia and Beit Lahia while arresting at least 200 individuals during the operation. In the central part of the region, a massacre in the Nuseirat camp on Thursday afternoon led to the deaths of 17 citizens, including Dr. Ashraf Al-Jadi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the Islamic University. The attack also injured 52 others, among them 11 children and one woman.
