Israeli Bombardment in Gaza Intensifies on 379th Day of Conflict, Mounting Casualties Reported

Gaza: Israeli aircraft have continued their relentless airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, marking the 379th day of ongoing conflict, with a significant number of casualties reported. The recent attacks have resulted in 62 deaths and 300 injuries over the past 24 hours, as hospitals struggle to cope with the influx of victims. According to Maan News Agency, the death toll from the Israeli military operations has escalated to 42,500, with 99,546 injuries recorded since the onset of hostilities on October 7. The situation in the northern Gaza Strip remains dire, particularly in the Jabalia camp, where recent airstrikes have claimed the lives of 30 individuals and injured 70 others. The bombardment of residential areas continues unabated, with the al-Tawbah area experiencing fatalities and injuries following an attack on a local house. Among those killed is Palestinian artist and painter Mahasen al-Khatib, who perished in the Jabalia camp. The conflict has also seen the targeting of medical facilities, with the uppe r floors of al-Awda Hospital in Tal al-Zaatar enduring multiple artillery strikes, while tanks have surrounded the Indonesian hospital, where many patients are receiving treatment. The Israeli military has reportedly intensified its operations around Jabalia camp, employing fire belts to restrict movement and deploying drones to enforce an effective siege. Food and water supplies are critically low, exacerbated by a 15-day blockade on essential goods. Elsewhere in Gaza, fatalities were reported on al-Nasr Street and near Palestine Stadium, while in the central region, Israeli strikes have led to additional casualties in al-Maghazi camp and renewed shelling in al-Nuseirat and al-Bureij camps. In the southern Gaza Strip, casualties included Sheikh Samir Abdul Rahman Abu Taima, who succumbed to injuries from a prior airstrike in Bani Suhaila. The region has witnessed further military escalation, with new attacks initiated in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.
