Israeli Warplanes Conduct Multiple Airstrikes on Southern Lebanese Towns and Highways

Marjeyoun: Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes today on several towns in southern Lebanon and repeatedly targeted a major highway, escalating tensions in the region. The airstrikes affected towns including Khiyam, Aita Shaab, al-Tayri, and the Harouf-Jebchit highway. According to National News Agency, an Israeli raid specifically targeted the town of Khiyam earlier today. The airstrikes continued through the afternoon and evening, with warplanes hitting the Harouf-Jebchit highway around 5 p.m., marking the second attack on this critical route in less than an hour. Additional airstrikes were reported at 6:45 p.m. targeting the towns of Aita al-Shaab and al-Tayri. Aita al-Shaab faced another attack approximately 45 minutes earlier. The intensity of the airstrikes extended to other areas as well, with enemy warplanes targeting the towns of Tebnine, Aita al-Jabal, Hadatha, and Yater in the Bint Jbeil district at around 5 p.m. Furthermore, the outskirts of the town of Toulin towards Wadi al-Hujayr wer e also struck by an enemy raid. These repeated airstrikes have raised concerns about the safety and stability in the region, impacting several communities across southern Lebanon.
