Beirut: Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, in a phone call last evening with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have targeted neighborhoods in the capital, its suburbs, Mount Lebanon, the Bekaa, and the south.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Tajani expressed Italy's solidarity with Lebanon and its people during these difficult circumstances, affirming Rome's readiness to contribute to de-escalation efforts and help alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people.
During the call, the two sides also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as ways to restore stability.
