Sidon: Despite the difficult times and the continuation of hostilities, all this has not disrupted the work of the Military Technical Committee for Lebanon (MTC4L), a multilateral humanitarian and capacity-building initiative led by Italy, which spares no effort to provide humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese people. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, a donation was made in favor of the municipalities of Sidon and Tyre, in the presence of the highest local authorities, elements of the Italian army of the Technical Committee, as well as representatives of the Lebanese Armed Forces and personnel of MIBIL, the Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Beirut. The donation consisted of food rations and hygiene products with the aim of bringing a smile to the faces of the local population, knowing that a simple gesture, followed by a gesture from many, can make a difference and contribute to alleviating the suffering of an exhausted local community. The MTC4L, led by Major General Diodato ABAGNARA, was created at the international level with a dual objective: to support the Lebanese army but also and above all to support the Lebanese population through humanitarian initiatives. It operates in full compliance with the resolutions in force of the United Nations and the bilateral and international missions operating on Lebanese territory. The committee currently includes eight partner countries: Italy, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. Thanks to its specificity, it can guarantee, even in difficult times, the necessary support, even when circumstances do not allow others to work.
