Amman: The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy from Amman to the Gaza Strip, in collaboration with World Central Kitchen (WCK) and the World Food Programme (WFP). This convoy, comprised of 50 trucks, is loaded with essential food items, flour, and infant formula, aimed at addressing the urgent humanitarian needs in the region where living conditions are worsening.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the convoy's cargo includes food components intended for hot meal preparation, which WCK teams will distribute within Gaza. Additionally, the shipment contains flour, grains, and oils, vital for thousands of families who are currently facing a severe shortage of food and basic necessities.
This initiative is part of a series of joint efforts between Jordan and international humanitarian organizations, highlighting Jordan's crucial role in supporting the Palestinian people during crises. The current dispatch marks the fifth convoy sent in collaboration with international organizations in just 10 days, following the earlier delivery of 147 trucks across four convoys.
