Jordan Deplores Israeli Move to Outlaw Jerusalem Diplomatic Missions.

Amman: Jordan on Wednesday condemned a law approved by Israeli lawmakers to ban the establishment of diplomatic missions in Jerusalem except for embassies, slamming the move as an effort to alter the status quo. According to Kuwait News Agency, Israel needs to "cease all ongoing violations and breaches of the historical and legal status quo in occupied Jerusalem," state-run PETRA news agency cited foreign ministry spokesman Sufian Qudah as saying in a statement. He went on to deplore these practices as a "violation" of international law and UN Security Council resolutions, pushing for a two-state solution that leads to an "independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital," PETRA added.
