The Kingdom's tourism revenue amounted to $4.049 billion during the first seven months of 2024, down by 4.5%, compared to the same period last year, driven by a 7.5 percent decline in the number of tourists. Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) data showed a decline in tourism income generated from European, American and other nationalities by 56.1%, 42.9% and 24.5%, respectively.
