AMMAN: The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) has approved the issuance of JD350 million in Jordanian Treasury securities for the year 2024, following a request from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ). This decision includes both bonds and bills, offering investors a range of maturity options and interest rates. According to Jordan News Agency, the JSC has registered the 27th tranche of Jordanian Treasury bonds, amounting to JD150 million. These bonds have a five-year maturity and are set to be redeemed on October 13, 2029, with a weighted average interest rate of 6.25%. Additionally, the JSC approved the registration of the sixth issuance of Treasury bills for 2024, valued at JD200 million. These bills will mature on December 22, 2024, and carry a weighted average annual yield of 6.502%. The Treasury securities will be open for subscription to both institutional and retail investors, including resident and non-resident participants, through authorized underwriter banks. The securities will also be tradable i n the secondary market and listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), with the option for over-the-counter (OTC) trading.
