Jumblatt and PSP Leader Urge Ceasefire Compliance During Meeting with French Envoy

Beirut: Former Minister and MP Walid Jumblatt, alongside Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Taymour Jumblatt, engaged in discussions with the French Presidential Envoy to Lebanon, Jean-Yves Le Drian, at a dinner hosted in their honor at the French Embassy in Beirut. The event also saw the presence of "Democratic Gathering" MP Wael Abu Faour and French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the discussions centered around the critical need for complete adherence to the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all Lebanese territories, and ensuring the safe and dignified return of the residents of southern Lebanon to their homes.

The meeting further highlighted the importance of the Lebanese state fulfilling its obligations towards displaced individuals by establishing adequate shelter centers. These centers are viewed as essential in creating favorable conditions for the upcoming school year and safeguarding students' right to education.

Jumblatt and the PSP leader conveyed their gratitude for France's support to Lebanon, acknowledging France's ongoing efforts to enhance Lebanon's internal stability and foster unity among its people and institutions.
