Jumblatt Expresses Condolences to Swiss Confederation President Over Resort Fire Tragedy

Beirut: Former Progressive Socialist Party Chief Walid Jumblatt sent a cable to Swiss Confederation President Guy Parmelin, offering his condolences for the victims who fell on New Year's Eve as a result of a fire that broke out in a ski resort in the south of the country. Jumblatt expressed his sorrow over the incident and conveyed his sympathies to the affected families and the Swiss people.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Jumblatt stated in his message: "I was deeply saddened by the loss of more than forty victims as a result of the fire, and I wish a speedy recovery to the 115 other people who were injured in the incident." He emphasized his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and to the broader Swiss community.
