Beirut: Chairman of the Finance and Budget House Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, welcomed French Presidential Envoy Jacques de Lajugie at his office in the Parliament. The meeting was attended by Francois Sporer, Head of the Economic Section at the French Embassy in Beirut, as well as the Embassy's Financial Advisors, Vincent DeDrie and Kenza Quazzani.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions centered around financial reforms in Lebanon, including proposed legislations and executive government measures. Both parties emphasized the importance of these reforms for the country's economic stability.
There was a mutual agreement to maintain open communication channels between the parties. The French envoy reiterated his country's willingness to aid Lebanon in executing these reforms, in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
