Beirut: The Kataeb's Political Bureau conducted its weekly meeting under the leadership of the party's Vice President, Dr. Bernard Gerbaka. The discussions centered on the recent electoral process and developments, culminating in a statement emphasizing the party's stance on illegal arms and parallel authority in Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Kataeb Party extended congratulations to all contributors to the successful execution of Lebanon's municipal and local elections, despite observing serious violations. The party acknowledged the roles of the Ministries of Interior and Justice, judiciary, public officials, and staff for ensuring the elections' smooth conduct and integrity. The Kataeb Party also congratulated elected candidates, particularly those it supported, for achieving significant results across various districts. The party promised a detailed review of these outcomes and their broader implications soon.

The party declared that Hezbollah's influence over state terms is unacceptable, stressing the urgency of addressing illegal arms as a national priority. The Kataeb Party emphasized that ending unlawful weaponry is crucial for preserving state sovereignty and restoring full authority.
