Khatib Meets Jumblatt Delegation, Calls for Dialogue and Unified Stance

Beirut: Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Ali Al-Khatib, on Thursday received MP Taymour Jumblatt and a Progressive Socialist Party delegation to discuss developments amid ongoing Israeli attacks.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the delegation emphasized the need to prioritize dialogue, avoid internal tensions, and unify the national stance. Their discussions focused particularly on negotiations, ceasefire implementation, Israeli withdrawal, and reconstruction efforts.

Al-Khatib underscored the importance of reaching a consensus to strengthen Lebanon's position and prevent any divisions from escalating into public unrest. The meeting aimed to reinforce Lebanon's internal solidarity during challenging times.

MP Wael Abou Faour stated that the visit sought to establish internal safeguards and promote a unified approach to the challenges facing the nation. The discussions highlighted the shared commitment to maintaining stability and addressing pressing issues through cooperative efforts.
