KPI CEO Affirms Commitment to Sustainable Future at Duqm Forum

MUSCAT: Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) CEO Engineer Shafi Al-Ajmi emphasized the company's dedication to fostering a sustainable future through innovative energy transformation strategies. Al-Ajmi made these remarks during the fifth Duqm forum, which commenced today in Muscat, Oman. The event, organized by the Omani chamber of industry and commerce, was attended by numerous industry experts. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Ajmi participated in a panel discussion focusing on investment strategies in the blue economy. During his address, he outlined KPI's strategic goals and the challenges the company faces. KPI, which operates extensively in Europe with over 4,700 retail fuel stations, is also responsible for supplying fuel to global air navigation at more than 70 international airports. Addressing the challenges of energy transformation, Al-Ajmi highlighted KPI's responsibility to adapt to evolving industry demands by investing in multi-power stations and services. He affirmed the company's commi tment to reducing carbon emissions, utilizing renewable electricity sources, and promoting sustainable aviation fuel. On the sidelines of the forum, Al-Ajmi told KUNA that KPI adheres to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's strategies for refining and promoting petroleum products internationally. He also emphasized the importance of the Duqm refinery project and its positive effects on both Kuwaiti and Omani economies. Al-Ajmi expressed gratitude to the event organizers for providing a platform to discuss the future of energy and the importance of adapting to the rapid changes in the industry to achieve broader horizons and sustainable energy solutions.
