Kuwait: The State of Kuwait is focusing on the development and empowerment of its youth, recognizing them as the cornerstone of a prosperous future. The Kuwait Public Authority for Youth is actively engaging with the younger generation to understand their aspirations and provide necessary support to help them achieve their ambitions.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Authority is committed to offering a variety of training, development, and volunteer activities aimed at enhancing young people’s skills across multiple sectors. These initiatives are designed to foster creativity, interest in the arts, and highlight the talents of the youth. Asrar Al-Ansari, the spokesperson for the Authority, emphasized that these efforts are part of the state’s broader development plan, which includes a wide range of programs aligned with the national youth policy. These encompass voluntary, craft, sports, technological, scientific activities, and leadership skills development, as well as arts, media, and environmental pro
jects.
Al-Ansari highlighted several specific programs such as the ‘Youth Valley,’ which provides workshops and courses in technology and science to equip young Kuwaitis with advanced knowledge and skills. Additionally, the Authority has collaborated with Boeing Aviation Company to launch the “Kuwait Technical Entrepreneurship Complex.” This project aims to support young technical entrepreneurs through various lectures and meetings, set to commence after the construction phase.
The spokesperson also mentioned the establishment of the Volunteer Work Academy and the Youth Heritage Crafts Center by the Authority. These institutions are intended to promote volunteering and help young individuals learn and preserve traditional Kuwaiti crafts. Furthermore, the ‘Emkan’ online platform was introduced, offering over 75 free development courses in six critical areas, thus broadening the learning opportunities available to Kuwaiti youth.
